Summer fun for most people means sitting poolside, going to the beach, or hanging out.  That is all fun, don’t get us wrong…but let’s not forget that comes after soccer for our players this past season! The summer fun was on the soccer field for our summer league players…

Know How

We hope you all saw the tremendous improvement in all of our players from the start of the season until our last day this past Saturday.  It gives us great pleasure to see so many smiling faces be part of our summer league.  The confidence the kids had was amazing. It was as if these weren’t the same kids as the start of the league.  Part of our program is to develop skillful players at a young age but to also help grow their confidence on as well as off the field.

Friday evening practices at Sherman Oaks park were crucial to having the kids gain the confidence to showcase them on the field.  The teaching happens during the training sessions, we can’t stress that enough.  Weekends are for performance on what they learned during the week.

 

The Tiny Kickers!

 

What an awesome group of boys & girls we had this past summer league.  It is normal that these 3 and recently turned 4-year-olds didn’t want to participate in all games or activities.  The consistency from our parents to help grow their confidence was key.  At times they cried, threw a tantrum or just didn’t want to participate.  Other times they stole the show for the day! As long as you’re exposing them to quality training and coaching they will continue to develop on as well as of the field.

 

We have now been running a league for 3-year-olds for about 2.5 years here at Olé.  Watching the tiny kickers grow in front of our eyes has been amazing.  It’s great to see some of these players now playing with our older teams as well as some graduating and being part of our advanced club teams! It is amazing to see the development of these young players and credit to the parents for believing in our system of success.  We can’t wait to see more players continue to develop and share their experience with us.

 

The Vision

One day we hope that one of our former players here at Olé wins a World Cup! Olé wants to offer such an amazing program that we strive to develop young players from all backgrounds to be the best they can be.  Will some not make it to the professional level, yes…but some will.  It starts at a young age, we are not creating anything new. Academies around the world have a similar philosophy, we are just doing it our way.  Olé wants to be that program that your child will love and want to continue playing for many years to come.  We want to make you and your child fall in love with the sport and give back to our community through soccer.

 

Ready for Fall Season?

So are we! We are excited to see returning faces and meet new faces in our program.  Expect more teams, more fun, and more next level development! The details for the Fall 2017 season will be announced mid-August roughly.  If you have not joined our email list, please do so today on our website. We send email newsletters sharing information about upcoming events and important dates.  All practices and games will be in the San Fernando Valley.  We are based in the East Valley, so we will focus on trying to build our program there for the time being until we expand into other areas.  Let’s build a great program together!

Pre-Register Today!

If you have not sent in your $25 to save your child’s spot…what are you waiting for???  The $25 pre-registration puts your child on the list for the Fall 2017 season. He/she must be between the ages of 3-7 and can’t be born after the birth year 2010.  Our focus at the moment for these young ages is pre-club. Kids born 2009 or older will be evaluated for a possible tryout for our club teams or announce when new tryouts will take place for club teams after our Coast Soccer League season.
